I use earbuds normally on my Asus K60IJ however I installed xubuntu this morning and I can't seem to figure out why when I plug in my earbuds not only is the internal speaker of my laptop muted, my earbuds are too and when I unplug them both speakers stay muted until I manually unmute them and once I manually unmute them both my internal speakers and earbuds play at same time.

Any suggestions?
