gnuplot polar grids - disable circular grids alone

When a polar plot is made using gnuplot, we get two kinds of grids
    1. radial grids (like the radius of the circle)
    2. circular grids (grids of concentric circles)

If I want to disable the second one alone, how is it done?

all you need to do is to sex the xtics and ytics values same as the xrange and yrange maxima repectively.
