em28xx/xc3028, kernel 3.0 and Terratec Cinergy T XS

    Hi there,

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 with kernel 3.0.0-15 and I was trying to get my Terratec Cinergy T XS DVB-T USB-Stick up and running. I read everywhere that this card should work out of the box, see here.

I tried everything I could find via google but I had no luck. I even compiled and installed v4l-dvb from source etc... The card is being recognized but I never get the dvb device creation.

Does anyone have some suggestions how to make this work?

Re: em28xx/xc3028, kernel 3.0 and Terratec Cinergy T XS

    Hi,

I have the same trouble with em28xx/xc3028 but my USB key is DNT DA2 Hybrid (card=52)

    lsub gives :
Bus 002 Device 006: ID eb1a:2881 eMPIA Technology, Inc. EM2881 Video Controller

    uname -a gives :
    3.0.0-16-generic-pae #28-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 27 19:24:01 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

I have tested solution from this post : https://wiki.edubuntu.org/em28xx but nothing more append when plugging USB key : no DVB-T device.

Also tested this post : http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Xceive_XC3028/XC2028, --> failed after compilation error ...

    Here is tail -f /var/log/kernel.log :
