    Slow internet connection

    Hello, I'm using Lubuntu-64 bit and I'm having an internet connection problem. It must be some OS specific problem since I have Windows 7 on the same machine with a working internet connection. Everything internet related is slower than usual, from torrents download (everything is set up correctly) to web surfing, where the browser partially loads web pages, or doesn't load them at all. The connection is wired, and here is my network configuration:

    Code:
    sudo ifconfig -a
    eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr f4:6d:04:ef:e2:79
              inet addr:192.168.0.100  Bcast:192.168.0.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
              inet6 addr: fe80::f66d:4ff:feef:e279/64 Scope:Link
              UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
              RX packets:563891 errors:0 dropped:563891 overruns:0 frame:563891
              TX packets:436797 errors:0 dropped:554 overruns:0 carrier:0

              RX bytes:762180717 (762.1 MB)  TX bytes:33295227 (33.2 MB)
              Interrupt:46 Base address:0x4000

    lo        Link encap:Local Loopback
              inet addr:127.0.0.1  Mask:255.0.0.0
              inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
              UP LOOPBACK RUNNING  MTU:16436  Metric:1
              RX packets:1802 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
              TX packets:1802 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

              RX bytes:180224 (180.2 KB)  TX bytes:180224 (180.2 KB)
    I had to try nslookup ubuntuforums.org three times and reset my adsl modem until I got this message:
    Code:
    Server:         192.168.0.1
    Address:        192.168.0.1#53

    route command output:
    Code:

    Code:
    cat /etc/network/interfaces

    iface lo inet loopback
    Code:
     cat /etc/resolv.conf

    Any sugestions on how can I solve this? Thanks!
