So I burned an AVI file as a DVD video in Vista, but for some reason my Lite-On (in Ubuntu) won't even read it. On the Vista machine, I ripped the DVD (to avoid the re-encoding process) to it's folder hierarchy (not an ISO but a folder with the proper setup). I transferred over our router (Man that took forever), onto my Ubuntu machine. Now I'm trying to burn the folder with the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders as a DVD, but am unsure how to proceed. I would prefer to avoid encoding it again, as that would take forever and then some. I'm aware that files need to be read in a certain order, but I'm still stuck. How would you recommend proceeding to burn the folders as a working video disc? Is it even possible?
