    gaming

    I've searched and searched but been able to find an answer, i'm so new to linux i've not even installed it yet. i'm just wondering can you network game with a windows machine. thanks for your help with this

    First, Welcome to the forums!
    Although linux is not designed so much for games, some will run under WINE.
    Also, if you have the resources (plenty of RAM and disk space) you can always run windows in a virtual machine, from within' ubuntu.

    From my experience theres no problem with playing via network as long as u can make the game run in the first place. Some games need a bit fixing before u can start them, but usually there are solutions in already [Fixed] threads that require very little effort.
    Tho U have to consider the enormous CPU resources drain while emulating windows applications.
