While I'm not a total noob with linux I haven't compiled successfully kernel for ubuntu. The problem is that the compilation goes for ages with default configuration and I don't know what can I remove from config to make it faster and what I cannot(I tried several times, however never got faster and always got some problems with sound or other drivers). While there's no problem with getting newer releases from repo's I'd like to compile kernel with mosix patches to use mosix VCL.
Any ideas how could I make fast config for kernel compilation that won't brake anything?
