    Check every 30min if oneiric's here DDD
    Don't run it to a dir that you have a file named 'download' needed
    Code:
    #!/bin/bash
    while true; do
       rm -f download
       wget http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download > /dev/null 2> /dev/null;
       if [[ $(cat download | grep "oneiric") ]]; then
          zenity --info --text "Oneiric's here"
          xdg-open http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download &
          rm -f download; exit;
       fi
       rm -f download;
       echo "Nothing for now....$(date '+%a') $(date '+%d') $(date '+%h') $(date '+%H'):$(date '+%M'):$(date '+%S')"
       sleep 30m;
    done

    Re: 11.10 is almost here

    Ah! Just ran an update and now getting the same results as you guys. Thanks.

    Have to say, so far this release is stellar. The couple of issues I had with the bar seem to have gone now, and everything seems to be running great. Still keeping my fingers crossed that it lasts!

    Indeed, this is the point where I compile a list of the bugs that I have reported, there has been confirmation by other users but the bugs haven't been fixed.

    For the Kubuntu distribution as a whole I have two unusable programs, one crash, two minor bugs that I can live with and one application that crashes after extended use.

    These bugs are listed in detail over on the Kubuntu Forums - http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3118601.0

    Thumbs up Re: 11.10 is almost here

    My Oneiric testing installation has been so good, I think I may end up just abandoning my Natty installation and continuing to use it. I'll just move /home to it's own partition and go from there.

    Code:
    LSB Version:    core-2.0-amd64:core-2.0-noarch:core-3.0-amd64:core-3.0-noarch:core-3.1-amd64:core-3.1-noarch:core-3.2-amd64:core-3.2-noarch:core-4.0-amd64:core-4.0-noarch
    Distributor ID:    Ubuntu
    Description:    Ubuntu 11.10
    Release:    11.10
    Codename:    oneiric
