    Disabled Touchpad

So after many bugs with my last installation of Ubuntu on my macbook pro 7,1, I decided to burn a clean CD of 10.10, and reinstall Ubuntu fresh. I then followed the instructions for installing ubuntu 10.10 on a macbook pro 7,1. I am still having issues. About fifteen seconds after I login, movement via touchpad is disabled, yet I can still preform clicks with it. This seems to only happen when the synaptics drivers are running, but I have not tested this completely. Also, this time I have installed ubuntu on a Ext4 file system instead of an Ext3. Should I stick with the Ext3?

    Re: Disabled Touchpad

I also want to add that at the same time touchpad movement is disabled the application Docky (which I have set to open when the computer starts) disappears. My guess is that these two events are somehow connected.
