Running on lucid 10.04.2
syslog-ng loaded from backports

Using stock config, but added a few lines to tail some files and push them to a splunk server.
It won't log the system log messages, but it pushes the additional logs out that I added (s_nginx_*).
I commented out my config and looking at the debug output, it looks like it's not matching anything in the base/default config.

Code:
# First, set some global options.
options { long_hostnames(off); flush_lines(0); use_dns(no); use_fqdn(no);
          owner("root"); group("adm"); perm(0640); stats_freq(0);
          bad_hostname("^gconfd$");
};
