Macbook Pro 6,1 Cintiq 12WX Detect Display

    Hello,

I have my macbook pro 6,1 system running ubuntu 11.04
I also have a cintiq 12wx i'm trying to get working. So far i've had little luck in this.

I am able to use the cintiq pen to control the mouse pointer on the laptop's screen but am unable to get the cintiq screen to turn on, or to get ubuntu to recognize the tablet in the Nvidia control pannel.

I was able to get it to work (detected as a cintiq 12) last night (so i know it's possible) but I didn't save the configuration settings and lost it.

Now I am faced with a Nvidia X server settings that only recognizes the second monitor as "DFP-2" but the screen never comes on.

Any help would be appreciated... Any information you need just tell me where to find it, or what to type to get it to you and I'll be happy to do that.

    thank you.

Re: Macbook Pro 6,1 Cintiq 12WX Detect Display

Okay, I got it to detect the WAC Cintiq 12 WX (DFP-2 on GPU-o)
    With the twin view setting.

The wacom tablet screen is now on and pen works (sort of)

I saved to the X configuration File.

So I'm hoping this issue is resolved and now the screen will come on when i boot.

    Does this sound correct?

Now I need to figure out ICC profiles and Getting the pen calibrate with just the cintiq... any help at forum posts related would be welcomed, I'll do a search myself as well.

    upon restart
cintiq is no longer detected. message saying monitor profile can not be applied and nvidia X server settings show's the cintiq has reverted back to DFP-2 @ 640x480 resolution

Re: Macbook Pro 6,1 Cintiq 12WX Detect Display

    Solved

added Modes "1200x800" to conf file

Works on log out and works on restart
works when cintiq is turned off and turned back on.
