Any way to make chat account linked to facebook default to https?

Does anyone know of a way to make the facebook chat account default to using HTTPS instead of HTTP when it connects?

If the "service" is offered by facebook, then it's facebook that has to secure the stream.

I'd suggest contacting facebook technical support.

I already have my facebook security settings set to HTTPS if available. It appears when I open the "chat accounts" option in Unity desktop, it attempts to connect HTTP. Has to be coded somewhere.
