    Reviving the IRC channel

I'm going to start idling more in #ubuntu-us-md on Freenode. I have this feeling people are thinking this team is dead, and instead we should be looking to build it.

    What is Freenode?
    #ubuntu-us-md ?

Some of us do not use IRC/Chat or whatever seems to be used by this LoCo forum.

    Re: Reviving the IRC channel

(Wow, I need to pay more attention to the forums!)

Freenode is an IRC network, which provides discussion servers for the Free Software community: http://freenode.net/

The channel "#ubuntu-us-md" is our channel. It's quite quiet, but I'm there when I'm online.

It is quiet indeed! I do check in frequently though

    Re: Reviving the IRC channel

It would be nice if someone would revive these threads since they work well for my system.
However I guess if one wants to participate one must keep up with the technology. So far IRC/RSS and some of the feed systems have been security nightmares for me.
I had to remove the Google Webfeeds from Firefox because it kept picking up unwanted feeds.

If someone has a solution to the security issue say something, please?
