    GDM - Face list

    Hi all,

I just came across plenty of brainstorm ideas asking for the same thing: the Human list as default theme for GDM. Tt is way more user friendly, though it still supports the "old" way of entering your credentials. I even found a blueprint, with specifications describing to default the ubuntu login to a face browser. It also talks about a fancy OpenGL based facebrowser, of which there is also an article on ArsTechnica.

Therefore my question: what is the status of this OpenGL based facebrowser, and will it (or if not finished yet, the Human List theme) be default for Ibex as proposed for Hardy?

This is what you're talking about, right?
You can contact MacSlow, the developer, and ask him directly.

In no way has this been discussed recently if at all in inclusion for 8.10. This is the artwork team's area.

It is planned for Intrepid as I heard from one developer.

The developer told me that it is still planned in time for Intrepid. Whether it is default or not is another question.
