Open and edit Microsoft Office Access databases with OpenOffice.org

    Hi,

I installed Ubuntu 7.10 (haven't updated to 8.04 yet) in a computer here at home which isn't used by me, and the person who is going to use it needs to work with mdb (MS Access) databases.

How can I open and write in these with full-compatibility in OpenOffice.org Base?

    Thanks in advance,
    neonl

I have experimented with mdb databases.

Haven't found a good solution yet.

Kexi appears to be able to open the data table, but quries, forms, reports etc are not imported.

    Same with MDB viewer.

I found OpenOffice base unbearably slow. But I could import the data table via Excel.

So - all the things I have tried allow the data tables to be imported, but nothing else.
