Ubuntuone Headless (no GUI) in Lubuntu 12.10

I decided to revisit a cloud backup solution having been disappointed with Ubuntu One a few distros back. The first step I took was installing ubuntuone-client using synaptic. I then got an error message when trying to start the syncdaemon, I assume this was due to these missing dependencies:

    python-simplejson
    gir1.2-unity-5.0

After following these instructions here which installed the above dependencies:

    everything seems to be well.

My question is, do I need report this as a bug or is this just due to the distro I'm using? I can't recreate the output from the CLI and I'm not sure how to get the error history up.

    Bump.

Has anyone tried this in Lubuntu or in newer versions of Ubuntu and encountered the same problems. It may be that the wiki needs updating:
