No iTunes on Ubuntu and sadly no drag 'n' drop music onto iPhones.

I think Banshee can put music onto iPhones. Not too sure, sorry. If you want a phone that is truly easy to load music onto with a drag and drop, check out any Android phone.

There is workaround, and it is THE only solution working after have spent 5 days searching.

You can put music on Iphone with TuneShell app over the wifi! Awesome app, it lets you access the device over browser and add files.

Please support the developers! Don't get me wrong, I have no interest if you do support them, I only think that they deserve it.

Probably not the best/easiest approach, but just use iTunes on windows vm?

If you use Clementine as your music player, you can select the tunes and then right click and choose copy to device including iPhone, and should also appear on your devices tab

As has already been pointed out: it is so hard because Apple make it hard. They want to force you to use iTunes, which leads to you buying all your music via iTunes, so Apple continues to make money off you.

running iOS 6+, there doesn't appear to be a way to sync music yet. Has anyone succeeded in putting music from their ubuntu computer onto an iphone 4S running iOS 6+?
