Printing to network printer from Ubuntu VM misdirected

I have Ubuntu 12.04 running on a vmWare 5.0.1 Player VM, with Win7 as host OS.
Whenever I try to print, the correct printer is shown on the dialog, yet the printout is mis-directed to the OneNote printer.
What gives?

Is the Printer Icon on the bottom of the Player screen?

What printer is the default printer in Windows?

I am not sure that host network printers can be accessed by a VM, you may need to install the printer in the Ubuntu VM.
