Atheros AR9285 Issues

I've recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 and have been having intermittent issues with wireless. Often I'll wake my machine up and will have no network connectivity despite the wireless menu showing that I am indeed connected. Fixing this normally involves having to reconnect (sometimes having to repeat this step multiple times) or typically having to restart my system entirely.

Running lshw -C network tells me that my wireless interface is an Atheros AR9285.
