    Show input language?

Is it possible to show what language you are currently typing in Ubuntu?

I hate to use this example but on Windows when you switch, at the side it shows EN for English, RU for Russian etc, depending on what language you're using. Was just wondering if Ubuntu has something similar?

last time i checked there was something similar, keyboard icon with language code next to it (en/ru), as long as you have at least 2 keyboard layouts enabled in keyboard prefs.
