    Linux tutorials

    Hi there,

For a good few months I am going to be sofa/house bound, broke my femur.

So I decided to embark on the daunting task of giving Linux a decent try. I have googled but a lot of crap comes up and other stuff seems quite outdated, so thought I'd ask you guys.

Does anybody know of some good tutorials or websites to learn about the Command Line, File system, the kernel itself and pretty much Linux itself?

Any help would be great thanks.

here are some possibilities: (Sorry to here about your leg

    http://linuxsurvival.com/

    http://linux.about.com/c/ec/1.htm

Those are a few. the basics have not really changed all that much. so if you can find a copy of "Running Linux" it would still be useful as a guide.

The free version of The Debian Administrator's Handbook was released, recently. I highly recommend it.

For the Command Line I love the book written by William Shott, Jr entitled, "The Command Line"

The link for download is here.
