12.04 will not install

Hi have windows xp installed along with 10.04 have tried to boot up and install 12.04 on the 10,04 partition with no luck it just will not see the disk at all

I have used this disk to install on another computer with no problem.Every since unity have not been able to install any of the OS Attaching computer specs could use some help would like to use the next LT support 12.04 Thanks for your help

Have you opened gparted to see if the hd is showing the partitions? A broken partition table can cause a no show. If it is showing the partitions take a screen shot of gparted and post it, or run this command and post it.

Hi thanks for the help heres the pic I see one with a * not sure what that is.

Think maybe I should just wipe the drive clean and reinstall. Not sure

I ran g part wiped the whole drive and rebooted with the 12.04 disk poof whoopie am now installing LTS 12 .04 tks for your help.
