Does an openoffice presentation file open with windows powerpoint?
In ubuntu 10.04 it is possible to save an openoffice.org presentation file in MS windowsXP powerpoint file format. If anybody has done this, can he/she please tell me if it works correctly in an windowsXP machine? Does animation work?
Also there are several formats related to windows XP in which a presentation file in openoffice.org can be saved. Thse are: .ppt, .pps, .pot, .pptx, .ppsx, .potm. Can anybody please tell me which format will be the best?

Animation almost never works correctly when using OpenOffice and saving as .ppt (or any of the alternatives).
I have never tried saving as .odp - but I believe Office 2010 (and 2007 with SP2) can open these. Might be worth a try?
Unfortunately, there is no better solution, apart from running MS Powerpoint with Wine/PlayOnLinux/Bordeaux etc on Ubuntu.
