Minecraft, super new please help???!!!

Hi, I am very very new tro ubuntu, but I have been searching hard to try to run a game. Minecraft. I have it installed, or atleast the file is downloaded. And I'm pretty sure I have sun java downloaded, but I cannot for the life of me get the game to start, and I really don;t know how. Should I do something in the terminal? Somebody please help me I'm getting desperate.
