Hi everyone:
I wanted to let you know that an ISO has been posted to the Dell wiki for downloading 9.04. I can't predict when systems will actually be shipping with 9.04 due to a variety of variables (or 8.10 for that matter), but the content that is required for factory installation is ready.
You can look at the wiki page at
http://linux.dell.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_9.04
Like previous Dell ISOs, this will preinstall Flash and closed source graphics drivers for you. You can burn this ISO to a DVD using your favorite burning software or to a USB stick using USB Creator.
The most important visible change with this ISO is that it now features an "Interactive Installation" option. If you want to install Ubuntu side-by-side with another OS (Such as Win7 or Win Vista), you can choose interactive install to choose how to partition the disk. You will still get the other Dell addons such as flash installed, but without losing data.
The Automatic Reinstallation option will remove all partitions on your primary hard disk and create Linux Utility & Recovery partitions.
NOTE: This is an i386 architecture image. It's not AMD64, it's not LPIA. For netbooks, it will run great on the mini9, but the mini10 and mini12 both require a graphics driver that is only available on LPIA currently.
