    Try to "reinstall" it, I don't remember but I think it will prompt you what to do because it will detect a version installed. I'm sure that one option it's to upgrade but I'm not sure about the other ones

    Downloaded the drivers from here 0.28-beta

    http://www.avermedia.com/AVerTV/Prod...1&tab=APDriver

    unzip into something like ~/workingDirectory

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install dialog
    sudo apt-get install Kaffeine

    cd ~/workingDirectory/A828_Installer_x64_0.28-Beta

    sudo ./AVERMEDIA-Linux-x64-A828-0.28-beta.sh
    Choose normal install

    Code:
    dmesg
    should return something like

    ...
    [13567.090830] A828 registered V4L2 device video1[video]
    [13567.092127] A828 registered V4L2 device radio0[radio]
    [13567.092327] A828 registered V4L2 device vbi0[vbi]
    [13567.099659] A828 registered ALSA sound card 1
    [13567.099681] DVB: registering new adapter (A828[0] DVB-T)
    [13567.099686] A828[0] DVB-T registered DVB adapter 0
    [13567.100731] DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (A828[0] DVB-T)...

    start Kaffeine

    Television --> Configure Television --> Device 1[tab]
    Source -->autoscan Australia (becasue that is where I am of course )
    OK

    Television Channels --> Start Scan

    Hopefully you will see Scan Results populate. Highlight the ones you want, then select Add Selected

    OK

    Then enjoy the inane babble that is broadcast over the air.

    Hope this works for you too.
