    I did not have to edit my fstab, all I did to fix this was create the .Trash-1000 on the root dir of the drive, and chown -R it to myself.

    Went with the 2.1 option - server kernel - works like a *charm* - maybe even better than the desktop one.

    True, it's much better to get the one from repositories, for the benefit of having it correctly integrated to the system.

    But Eclipse 3.4 (vs. 3.2 from repos) is a different story! :)
