    Re: New Theme Revealed

I like the new themes and it's good that they are working on it.

However, if you maximize a window the title bar, menu bar and GNOME panel are too 'dark' imho. It looks better with smaller...

Re: Will there be something new at least?

There are only 6 months between two Ubuntu releases. Compare, say, 7.04 with 10.04 and you will notice more changes.

I agree that end users don't care about kernel and gcc versions, but newer...

Re: Europe to get Windows 7 sans browser

    Wikipedia states:

CSS 3 is only used in a few tests, most tests are about DOM2, CSS2, HTML4, SVG and Ecmascript (JS). These are all standards. The number of (only) DOM Level 2 + Ecmascript tests...

Re: Europe to get Windows 7 sans browser

IE8 still cannot parse an XHTML document as XML (application/xhtml+xml header), only as malformed html (text/html) [source]. IE8 namespaces are therefore not XML namespaces, it looks more like HTML...

Re: Europe to get Windows 7 sans browser

No, IE does not support XHTML.

It parses XHTML as HTML (text/html), while other browsers support the application/xhtml+xml mime type. XHTML is based on XML, so that means very strict error...

Re: Europe to get Windows 7 sans browser

And they abuse their IE/Windows monopoly by introducing their own version of many specs. IE8 starts to get better (finally), but still doesnt support SVG, canvas, etc. Its slow JS-speed is still...

Poll: Re: What is the Speed Limit in your Country ?

    The Netherlands:

    highway: 120km/h = 75 miles/h
    regional roads: 70-80km/h = 50 miles/h
    cities: 30-50km/h = 18-30 miles/h

In cities we also have 'woonerven', where you must drive at walking...

Re: Chrome for Linux - wow! What an update!

Yes. Here is a Windows screenshot. On Linux the tab bar is even smaller because there is no space above the tabs.

I had the same thought so I just re-added the Chromium nightly. You can install...

Re: Chrome for Linux - wow! What an update!

In the last nightly there is a checkbox Use system title bar and borders in the tabs context menu.

On my laptop I have only 800 pixels so this gives me some more pixels.
    One of the great things...

Re: Google Chrome "official" dev release

Where do you see that? If I right click on an open tab there is no Task Manager option. New tab works though.

Looks great! Slightly off-topic, but does anybody know what's that free space widget...

There is an official dev-channel available now.

Not much difference (of course) except for the logo: Chrome logo is much more colorful than the Chromium one :)

Looks like they are preparing a first alpha?

I added the repository a few weeks ago. Back then it...
