I did what you suggested me, I switched on my fw drive before boot my ibook and now the output is:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ ./ofpath /dev/sda...

I made ofpath executable with chmode 755 (I think it's the same), now I try rebooting my ibook.

Hi, I have followed your instructions (including old tutorial) and now when my ibook boot holding option key pressed I am able to see 2 boot devices, internal hd with osx and external firewire disk...
