  1. Re: Guitar Pro 6 and "QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme"

I just found this post: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2099140

Seems like a bug in Ubuntu 13.04 and not a problem of Guitar Pro 6.
  2. Guitar Pro 6 and "QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme"

I upgraded to 13.04 and as expected Guitar Pro 6 stopped working (did it ever survive an upgrade?). First problem was that it wanted libssl0.9.8 which I fixed by installing libssl0.9.8:i386. Now it's...

  6. Re: Now that the Unity hate has cooled down, how do you feel about the WM?

A problem I see is that users don't inherently know what users want. It's obvious that unity is controversial but I have yet to see some reliable data or survey that would give us an overview what...

I'm also impatiently waiting for the invite code (I requested one at ingress.com). Then again I don't have a mobile internet plan anyways, so the longer I have to wait, the longer I can save money :D...

  9. Re: Do you think that our world will be truely open?

Really? Somewhat ironic considering that many of their software would not be approved by the FSF.

As far as the original question goes: Probably not but I actually thought about how it might be...

But not to create monopolies for silly things like rectangles with round corners or slide to unlock.
  11. Re: I came across this excellent distribution called Sabayon!

I have never got it installed properly and was too lazy to look into the problems but from what I read and seen booted from USB it's an interesting distro.

[ubuntu] Re: Guitar Pro doesn't work after upgrade to 12.10

The issue is not related to 64bit after all, since it doesn't work in Ubuntu Studio 12.10 either with the same error, but it does work in 12.04.
