It works for me now after installing new BIOS :)
Only Play button send no keycode, but I configured Vista-button to be a play button :P

If you still have a problem: update your BIOS through Vista. Remote controll should start to work. Fingerprint is a problem with ubuntu. But you already know it... :)

I just bought a new laptop and installed Ubuntu 8.10 on it.
It's hp dv5-1170ew.
There is this small remote control on it (hp rc6). I would like to make it work, but I have no idea how to do...

As I know Ubuntu doesn't support many laptops. I haven't supported neither brightness changing nor fn keys, becouse of there is no acpi module for Toshiba laptops with phoenix bios. !@$!%^&%$#@!
