    If you dont need wireless N you can modprobe it with the following options:

    sudo modprobe iwlagn 11n_disable=1

    This solves the instabilities, but ofcourse degrades your speed significantly.

    Have tried mounting it by using the disk/partition name, rather than the UUID? ie:

    mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/bla

    The problem is that you have compat-wireless installed, which apparantly is broken in 3.0.0-17.

    You can run -17 with working iwlagn by removing...
