I installed a USRobotics USB Modem on my linux box...Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex 64bit. I got it to connect but it only stays connected for a bout 3 seconds...can someone help...

I have almost the same problem...when I type ls /home....nothing happens, no letters shows up on the prompt, and my keyboard works fine...
