You could use Remastersys to create an iso image of your system then install this to a usb drive using usb creator which should be already installed.
You could also use apt ton cd which will create a backup of all debs then you can use it like a repository or even install a custom Ubuntu from it.

Look in var/cache/apt/archives you should find the .deb file there.
You can use apt ton cd to create a snapshot of your system and use that to install on another computer I think never tried it.
It starts at Home/Desktop click on file system then the home folder then your user name Downloads should be there .
Make sure the partition you are trying to move the file to is mounted look in...
To move the file simply pres alt +F2 in the box that appears type

I think the problem was i was trying to remove the flashplugin- installer and install flash in one operation. Better to use Synaptic to remove flash then reinstall it from synaptic.
