[ubuntu] My "missing" [?] nVidia GT 325M card

My brand spanking new laptop comes with nVidia "optimus" technology.

Poll: Re: ubuntu ready for end-users?

What do you mean by "I have to redownload these packages...everytime I make a change"?

    That's odd. I don't.

As long as the package is still in the archive it remains in my package cache. If I...

  10. Re: Microsoft Office and it's copyright bull.

If it's legit then why is the installation disk at your Dad's Office and not at home with the PC?

Does he have multiple licenses for MS Office? If not, it can only be installed on one PC.

Re: the day dell refused to sell a computer

I was very happy when it was announced that Dell would be selling PCs with Ubuntu preinstalled.

However, it did little to change my opinion of Dell.

But any big name PC-maker putting Ubuntu...

    Re: Genuine Windows is Ubuntu

Well (as of this writing) I have to say I'm impressed with ubuntuforums.org's web server.

I figure it might have been killed by the Slashdot effect. But then maybe it's just too early....
