    Open "Activities" in top bar .. type System .. you see System Monitor .. click to open.

    Another approach is to use [Alt+F2] .. to open apps.

    One idea is to switch to using Brave browser which offers more privacy.
    And regularly clear out cookies planted when you visit sites.
    Browsers with extensions installed give access to your browsing...

    Apparently Actiona (which interacts with user interface) does not work in Wayland (or so I read).
    Something to do with Wayland security policy since it can be risky if rogue scripts slip through....

    Inside Win, install trial EasyUEFI, You have a 14 day trial before payment required. Use that free trial to fix UEFI issues from within Windows.

    Then try installing rEFInd which sits alongside, not replacing grub. You should be able to locate Ubuntu.

    Another guesswork department. Even though just one boot option is required you can install rEFInd (really intended for multi boot) and reduce the display time to one second or less.
