I'm also trying to find this information. There must be a way of installing on the drive itself. The only instructions i've seen have been to run from a live drive of some description.

developers only ever have input when they gone beyond developing into management.
OpenSource it maybe (although not necessarily but for the sake of argument it is), they may well fork it, but in...
Maybe permanently approved developers than permanently employed. If the developer isn't getting paid, then the work stops. Similarly, if the developer stops working, the funding stops.
As far as...
I know its just an example, but if 100,000 people each gave 100,000 then the developer would get 10 billion. I'm pretty sure they'd go for that...
This is better than freelancing, the developer...
Your analysis of what is meant is almost correct. I thought the developer(s) would actually get less of a percentage of the revenue than that, but thats up for debate. This is because the initial...
I'm asking them to split the revenue in as many ways as there are benefactors. As for the initial finance, that comes from the consortium. They buy their share in the project with the amount they...
The developers get the money that is raised through the consortium.
I know that there are many disciplines for good software design. As I said before this is just a preliminary idea. I don't...
Which is why the features and whatnot are decided before its given to the developer.
I'd quite like to talk to users and developers. Limiting myself to the Linux foundation is just as fruitless as limiting myself here. This is just the first step.
Well, for a while netbooks were mostly linux. People kicked up a fuss mainly because of the apps.
I'm mainly trying to think of a way to get professionally made applications for linux by spreading...
Now that Linux is finally picking up the pace and becoming more mainstream, we need some real top notch applications to compliment the user experience. That isn't to say that the apps are confined to...
it started after ages, but only a black screen and what seems like a hidden button that I can click but nothing is happening.
I got this in the terminal though
Peeps should all try running it without unity. i.e. log in using Ubuntu classic DE.
I'm also running it using the terminal command "wine fm.exe" after navigating to the correct folder.
I'm...
Yh I did upgrade to 1104. It was working in the beta though. Its blinking frustrating! I was mid season as well. I really thought I'd said goodbye to windows on my laptop.
It'll be good to hear...
Hey all,
It's been a while that I've needed help with anything but I've been playing football manager 2011 for a while now and all of a sudden it stopped working. I don't think I've updated...
Maybe I could choose the folder according to its filesystem type. In the case of a dvd UDF?
I think that maybe the only way to differentiate between the folders. Especially if each dvd comes up...
This looks waaaaay more than I want to acheive.
I think I can get what I want from /media the only problem is, when I insert a dvd, the name of the mounted drive changes to the name given to the...
That is some hardcore shiz!
I'll give it a go, although I'm sure theres a way of using /dev/cdrom I just don't know it yet...
lol no worries, I'll check it out. maybe I can explore the source if its foss...
Thanks!
Hey all,
I'm building a small application and I need access to the program chain for a given dvd. I have no idea how to do it. I've been looking at libdvdread but I think thats more for...
Hey all, I wrote a post on my blog describing the next Beta of my EZDVD software. If anyone is interested it is here:

Hey all, I'm doin a little python app for encoding .avi from dvds. I know there are a few really good applications out there that do the same thing but I wanted something simple with less faff.
...
I don't think its possible to have consistent quailty settings, it all depends on the size of the original files. I think the standard res for DVDS is 600x480 (don't quote me), but thats what I use....
I'm getting a Unity hang also, a bit intermittent but still inconvenient.
Hmm fair enough, I've seen a convoluted way of changing the appearance of the dock, I might give that a try later. Also, is there a way of increasing the performance. It's sluggish as hell.
