[ubuntu] Re: grub-windows 7 reboot loop

Maybe I wasn't clear enough: system reboots if I choose a Windows entry, but grub starts again after reboot. The reboot is similar to that I obtain using reset button.

    I don't need two Windows 7,...

[ubuntu] Re: grub-windows 7 reboot loop

No, the two partition are two different installations of Windows 7. The second Windows 7 installation on SCSI is the result of my tests: I was hoping that booting from SCSI to SCSI Windwos 7 could...

[ubuntu] Re: grub-windows 7 reboot loop

Yesterday I've tried to install Karmik to see if grub 2 was able to boot Windows.
I've installed Karmik on a partition of sdd and grub on sda MBR, but the result was the same: if I select the...

[ubuntu] Re: grub-windows 7 reboot loop

I was speaking about this part of RESULTS.txt where script states I have Windows on MBRs of all disks, but it's not true.

[ubuntu] Re: grub-windows 7 reboot loop

I think there's a problem in the script, because Windows is not on the MBR of sdb and sdd.
grub starts normally booting from sdd, so I don't have to install it on the MBR of that disk.
    I had...

[ubuntu] Re: grub-windows 7 reboot loop

I think there's a problem in the script because Windows is only on the MBR of sda and sdc.

sda and sdb are Sata hdd. sdc and sdb are SCSI hdd.

    Boot order is:
    sdd
    sdc
    sda
    sdb

[ubuntu] Re: grub-windows 7 reboot loop

    I've the same issue.

sdc and sdd are on a 19160 SCSI adapter.

Windows 7 is installed on sdc2, Interpid on sdd1.
Actually if I change the boot order from BIOS I can boot into each OS.
    From...

I forget to talk about Java: now we have also 64 bit Java plugin...another reason to let Firefox 32 sit in a corner ;)
  11. Re: Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

I had a lot of issues with 32 bit Flash Player and nspluginwrapper on 64 bit Ubuntu: plugin crashes (try opening a page with tons of Flash applets), Firefox crashes, Xorg crashes also (bug reported...
  12. Re: Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

I think above substitution should work only for Hardy.
Try changing mozilla-mplayer_3.31-1_i386.deb in mozilla-mplayer_3.31+main-1ubuntu1_i386.deb and run the script again.
    Test url you've posted...
  13. Re: Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

I think you changed too much in package url. Your url:
    mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/multiverse/m/mozilla-mplayer_3.55-1ubuntu1_i386.deb
    but file is located in...

Sorry, my mistake. I didn't select Italian language in about:config.
  15. Re: Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

Thanks, automated scripts works fine in Hardy 64.
There's only a little issue in the script: mozilla-mplayer_3.50-1ubuntu3_i386.deb is no more available on Ubuntu repository. I've changed every...
