  1. [ubuntu] Re: Gnome keyring - Arbitrary aplication can see unlocked keyring items

This is _exactly_ the way keyring is supposed to work... and not surprisingly works ;-)

Keyring is a mechanism provided to avoid writing password in script or program. To do that, the "extra"...

This is really some great luck: you have automatically gained the best that wesnoth can do ;)

Re: Debian 6.04 vs. Scientific Linux 6.2

The most reliable is undoubtedly Scientific Linux, by far.

If you plan to use Linux as professional, RHEL is somewhat mandatory, or one of its clones. I think this is more than an answer to the...

    Re: Avoid battle of wesnoth

I agree that wesnoth online is bad, and your idea to restrict the LAN is a good one to avoid the main problem.

However this doesn't solve the problem of lack of interest from the game itself:...

  14. [ubuntu] Re: How will this run Ubuntu with all those fancy compiz-fuzion effects

10.04 is sure ok. But nothing prevent to test something more up to date, and revert back to 10.04 if needed.
  15. [ubuntu] Re: How will this run Ubuntu with all those fancy compiz-fuzion effects

The CPU is more than sufficient, especially with the 3Gb. of RAM. I was running 10.04 on a Core 2 E6320 (which is below the 6400) and a GMA 3000, without problems and very satisfying response time.

    For Ubuntu 10.04 and 11.04:

    Re: Linux Flight Simulators?

FlightGear on opensource side is very good.

X-Plane is better but you will have to pay for it, the demo is too much restrictive.
  25. Re: Problems installing Flight Simulator X

FlightGear native Linux is covered by Ubuntu repositories, i recommend this over wine, especially if the wine release is buggy.
