    I removed the 2 version and reinstalled the 3 version: the erorr is still the same...

    Sorry but you will have to dig!
    The bluetooth adapter works perfectly with the same wiimote on another PC with ubuntu 08.04.

    On the intrepid one, I tried all the USB ports.

    Nothing works :(

    The lswm returns well the MAC address of the wiimote.
    But then both wminput and wmgui returns
    "Socket connect error (control channel)
    unable to connect"

    wminput seems ok...

    I really can't connect to the wiimote!
    lswm returns well the MAC address but then, I always get a "Socket error" message in both wmgui and wminput.

    I finally install Windows on a spare hard drive. Then, retrieving the MAC address was easy.
    WOL is now working great!

    Yes, I already thought about BIOS and Win solutions. For BIOS, it is not marked anywhere (it is an embedded controller card on the ASROCK motherboard).
