Hi There,
I haven't tried on 10.04 yet... but it is in the pipeline.
Did you follow the same steps as outlined for 9.04?
I have had some issues with 64bit.... But perhaps this would be sorted...
FYI, after running updates for 9.04 available as of today (3 Nov 09), ib0 was no longer available.
Recompiled ibdriver-1.3.4-linux-2.6.28 and restarted, all OK.
I have compiled ibdriver-1.3.4-linux-2.6.28 on 9.04 successfully and connected using all the defaults when running pppoeconf....
All working!
Sadly, I still had to connect via office LAN to...
I too am using the iBurst USB modem... and following the same instructions I got it working nicely.
However, I need to connect to my office VPN. Ideally I'd use NetworkManager but ib0 doesn't...
Sadly, on the second attempt at this after a clean install, the above did not work......
Error below (same as always)::(
$ make -C ibdriver-1.3.4-linux-2.6.28
make: Entering directory...
Success!

Has anyone managed to get the iBurst USB modem working on 9.04?

Absolutely no luck on 9.04
Thanks for the input.
I don't have the live CD, I installed on Win Vista using wubi.exe after extracting the .iso.
What I did was the following:
Installed the patch found under...

Is there anywhere I can download...
Hi,
I used the guide at http://shiny.thorne.id.au/2007/01/pptp-from-ubuntu.html to install and start network-manager-pptp. All looks good, I have configured the VPN and I'm just about ready to go.

Hi,
I have followed a couple of guides on using KVPNC to connect to the AD VPN at my office, including this one.
I always get the same result; according to KVPNC I can connect to the VPN but no...
Anyone tried this?
Don't want to break anything just yet......
Used Adept to remove knetworkmanager and knetworkcon-kde4, then installed knetworkconf.
Success! I now have a GUI to control my network i/f's.
Hi,
I'm using Kubuntu 8.04, I need to have full control of my network interfaces but when I go to kNetworkManager and select Manual Configuration, I enter ther required password but nothing else...
Got the info I needed to connect here.

I used this thread and got the wireless done.
My wired network was fine from day one, only thing I can think of is to try giving your machine a static IP.
Anyone tried this with Hardy yet?
The package I installed to get this working was knetworkconf.
Can install via Adept or sudo apt-get install knetworkconf.
Funny indeed!
I saw a picture of GW Bush at the bottom of the page, so Bush it was...and I kept clicking on 'sloganize'......

All sounds good, but will this work if the server is running 6.06 and the desktops are running anything later?
Apparently I was on the wrong track altogether....
The actual problem was not being able to 'read' the database correctly. This is because OLE DB is not implemented in WINE, ODBC is, unfortunately...
A little more info...

My searches lead me to the same WINE page.....
I'm avoiding a VM as far as I can, so that will be a last resort.
Any other ideas before I go down VM Street
