    Re: Old account, email expired?

It was either ken@hoverclub.net, or forums@hoverclub.net. It was just me on the domain.

    Re: Old account, email expired?

Scratch that, the domain is listed under a squatter now. If you PM me an email address, I'll forward you the DROA.com email saying it's expired as of december of last year.

    Re: Old account, email expired?

The DNS registry is still there, I've let the site lapse because I'm really not interested anymore. If you go there, you'll see that it's not valid.

    Old account, email expired?

    Hi,

I'm wondering if I can get my old account linked back in. The trouble is, I'm pretty sure the email address goes to an expired domain.

Username was 1clue. I can answer any questions about...

Re: Has Ubuntu lost it's Ubuntu?

FVWM is cool if you want to fuss to get your environment exactly right. It's a bit old school (OK it's REALLY old school, not much older in X11), but you can control every aspect of your desktop,...

Re: Has Ubuntu lost it's Ubuntu?

    Come on guys.

It's the most downloaded linux distro there is. Zero qualifications.

If you look at the unity hate on this forum, you see a whole lot of the same names posting the badness. In...

Re: Has Ubuntu lost it's Ubuntu?

    @VietCanada,

FVWM is completely configured by a single file. You can install it on your current install, it's extremely light weight and will not corrupt anything else you're using, nor be...

Re: Has Ubuntu lost it's Ubuntu?

@VietCanada, you might want to look at FVWM.

It can be a bit of a PITA to set up, but if you want something simple you can have it be exactly the way you want. A menus, dashboards, buttons,...

    Re: Document Management System

That mayan one looked dirt simple.

Thanks guys, this isn't my thread but I've been wanting a DMS for awhile without knowing what they're called, and every one of these looks worth a try.

[ubuntu] Re: Continuous backup for Ubuntu?

That said, you could probably achieve something similar to a continuous backup if you have an external drive and set up RAID1. You wouldn't get rollback, but you'd have a backup.

[ubuntu] Re: Continuous backup for Ubuntu?

First, let me say I don't know of a continuous backup solution for Linux.

Second, let me apologize in advance if this sounds preachy. I disagree with the premise of continuous backups for...

    Re: Tapatalk?

No, but I noticed the forum is a whole lot easier to read with Firefox for Android than it used to be. That's better IMO
  13. [SOLVED] Re: How do I find the versions of software on older versions?

@lah7, I'm trying to select the version of *buntu by the versions of the packages installed, for example mysql 5.1. Synaptic (or more likely aptitude) are well traveled ground for me. :)

I just figured it out now. I signed on again and it asked me what info to share. Sorry for the fuss.
  15. [SOLVED] How do I find the versions of software on older versions?

    Hi,

I need to set up a couple VMs for support of legacy systems. I DO NOT WANT UPDATES, so a stale *buntu would be wonderful.

What I would like is to know how to figure out what versions of...
