Running FSLint command on 'Name Clashes' returns error:

Reinstall with the option for "Install third-party software" unchecked...this will install the plain-vanilla noveau graphics driver.

I have the same exact issue with a Toshiba P50-A running Nvidia Gt740M/Intel hybrid graphics..totally random, no errors in any log files, no heat issues, all software up-to-date, etc...happens...

Been running it for 6 hours now and it works and looks great!

Running Ubuntu Mate 14.10 Beta 2 and am very satisfied...hope the word gets out to more people who are looking for an uncomplicated DE...

It's damn near perfect except it does not play well with UEFI.....otherwise I would have it....Ubuntu Mate 14.10 Beta 2 is making me more and more of a fan each day that Freya breaks my heart....

Any BIOS settings that mention SATA, IDE, or AHCI ? Any other USB devices plugged in at the same time ?
Any way to burn the iso to DVD and install from that ?

Are there any USB settings in the BIOS to configure ? Is your BIOS up-to-date ?

Does the .iso file you downloaded pass the checksum ? Is there a way to turn the NIC card on/off ?

I backed down to 14.04....too much drama! Seems to get worse with each software update....good thing Mate Desktop works with 14.04 LTS!
