When Steve Jobs talks about Flash, all I smell is poop. Needs a mouse for rollovers? What? So does CSS/JavaScript and lots of other stuff. Show me a website with an XHTML/CSS/JavaScript/Whatever ...
It is coming out today right? Wikipedia has the date as April 28, 2010. Kubuntu's site said one day left yesterday (and still says that right now).
lol nice :)
I was referring more to the CD/CD cover, ads etc. But you are right. As a Web designer, I can tell you that IE is the biggest pain to my existence, and every Web designer/programer I know agrees....
Yeah, it's back up now. :)
I finally took time off work and school to get a Web site together for artists using FOSS. I'm still compiling info for new users, programs tutorials, etc... but the forums are mostly ready - though...
If the end results looks as good as the concept, Ubuntu will finally be ready for the next level. It looks very professional, yet fun and personal for home users.
The Ubuntu site seems to be down now. My web browser can't connect to the server. :(
From what I understand, PlayOnLinux uses different versions of WINE, so it will chose the best version for the program, which makes it the best way to go.

If you are a web designer, take the time and learn GIMP. It is easier and better to use for the...

First off, I want to make it clear that this is still tentative.
Now that that's out of the way...
Ubuntu Stop (tentatively) reserved a room at the Dublin Library that seats 50 and has a...

Cool, I won't be able to make it, but I could start posting LoCo meeting on the Ubuntu Stop meetup group page. This one is too short notice though. I'm going to have to check and see what email...
yet another vote for amarok, though I might say Rhythmbox once 10.4 comes out, thanks to Ubuntu One. Songbird seems cool, but I never find myself using it.
They will never make something that everyone loves. You may just go to a site like Zazzle and make something you like. I am pretty sure you can email Canonical to get permission.
To be realistic, every recording studio program has its good and bad. Once you find something you love, it is hard to find the exact same thing out there. But the nice thing is that there are so many...
Netbook remix is awesome. It Netbooks are small, and it saves screen space. You can have larger icons without everything looking crowded, it is VERY organized. I would love for someone to make a...
I'm already a member, thanks.
That setup is very close to mine, and I have no issues. Nvidia didn't work, every thing looked really bad and Hardware manager did not fine the drivers until after I updated, but once I ran the...
Yeah, Rosegarden is awesome. I've used it in the past.
http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/
I recommend loading Ubuntu Studio for music and adding Rosegarden if it is not already there by default....
Unfortunately without knowing what exactly is messing things up you are likely going to have to play around with it and figure it out. ? will get you help and g will let you unistall packages. Be...
Be sure to sign up, we need to get an idea of where people are and how many might attend.
