Re: How to make ISO from 7.10 download?

I know I know what's wrong. You see the command extract because winzip/winrar by default is set to open .iso files. You probably have visible file extensions turned off. To turn them on, in any open...

    Re: Soldier Front in wine?

AFAIK, games from ijji.com explicitly require IE (you go to their website and run the game from there), and because they use GameGuard, which relies on rootkits (!), it won't run on wine.

    HOWEVER,...

    Re: Games

AFAIK, virtualization doesn't work well for games because you're running a OS on top of another OS, and 3D doesn't quite work well in virtualization anyway.

Re: How do i install using Wine?

An interface? You might be talking about WineXS, but AFAIK, it hasn't been updated for a while.

Re: How to burn PS1/2 games in linux

Usually, the file you will burn as a ps2 disc will be a .iso or some other kind of disc image file. DVD decrypter supports just about all disc image formats, so you should be fine,

    Re: psp apps for ubuntu?

In a console, type "pspvc" to start the program. Select a file, and encode it, Don't forget to use the little screenshot thingy to make a suitabe thumbnail for your video.

  9. Re: Starcraft shuts down when entering battle.net

Check the Starcraft entry for WineHQ's AppDB.

IIRC, battle.net was the only part of SC that wasn't working right under wine.

    Re: psp apps for ubuntu?

PSP works fine just as a removable drive. Just connect it, enable USB mode, and drag and drop.

You may want to try qpspmanager, though. Just google for it.

    Re: psp apps for ubuntu?

It depends on how big the games are. Of course, taking movies and music out will help, but AFAIK, PSPForce uses ripkits(?) which is basically a file that tells the program what you can safely take...

    Re: psp apps for ubuntu?

HasratUSA, is there a way to play ISOs off your Linux system's hard drive? I mean, I know it works in Windows, but I get stuck on a step due to wine.

Re: Increased CPu usage while gaming

You're concerned about your computer having to work harder when you're running a game?

Maybe it has to do with the amount of ram you have, or if you're also runing another program at the same time.

If you want a fully functional DS emu, you'll need to wait a year or two.

No kidding. All we have now is poor, buggy emulation, and unless you want to play the DS game demos.... no dice.
