After typing into terminal right click seems to work, but i cannot two-finger scroll..it says that there is no touchpad detected. Could somebody please help me fix this?
False alarm! So sorry. When I mounted it, I was able to right-click the device on my desktop and format it that way. Not sure why Gnome Format didn't work. All is well!

Here's what I did. Just got it working.
System>Preferences>Sounds then go to the input tab and unmute the input volume and bump up that to the max :P
