    My other users need to be able to look in a media directory and other files not under /home (such as /var/www and others. I can't just stop them from accessing every system folder.

    Thanks for the response but I don't think this will work for my needs. I have many other users with all different levels of access so by using Chmod on everything it would affect my other users.

    I wouldn't be suprised if you already tried this but

    sudo apt-get autoremove kde-standard
    would be the easiest way...

    Never mind I used:

    sudo adduser username nosu

    and it worked. So it worked more perfectly then I imagined. If I use su it looks normal, still prompts for user password then sends permission...

    The account is not in the sudoers folder, it currently cannot use sudo but it still has the otion to switch users to an account that is in the sudoers folder such as root or my personal account on...
