    I have started form scratch and reformatted my disks as ext3.
    My OS is on one small 40 GB disk and I have a larger 120GB disk set aside for all my personal storage.

    As the HD has all my personal data on it including photos and music I have to store it elsewhere first (ipod for that).
    I use my deskstop as the ultimate storage device and its now going to operate...

    At the last step where I add the line to the gedit output, save and then reboot I lose sight of the drive from my "places"
