[ubuntu] Re: Remotely connect to Windows desktop

Indeed, he needs to set the port forwarding on his router to make the traffic on the port VNC uses go to his machine.

[ubuntu] Re: Remotely connect to Windows desktop

I'm a bit confused - are you both behind the same router?
  6. [ubuntu] Re: I have 2 Ubuntu and 2 recovery options on bootup?

If you have problems with the new versions of the kernel, X, drivers etc, you can easily go back to the config where it worked.

    Re: BBC avoids Mac news

They had to comission a report to say the BBC are biased on climate change and politics - I could have told them that, and I bet it'd be cheaper than whatever it cost to make that report!!

    Re: BBC avoids Mac news

I find the BBC tends to be quite left wing; I'm not really a fan of any news channel; I tend to read the paper instead, because all TV news seems abysmal.

    Re: New MacBooks

I lose track of how many times people say "come on, honestly, if you had £1500 to spend on and laptop, you'd buy a mac." and I reply with "No, I'd buy a thinkpad"; it is impossible to say how amazing...

    Re: Denim Jackets?

    Got it.

Feels great, although, walked out of College wearing it, a pair of jeans and Converse; and it started chucking it down with rain - wet doesn't begin to cover it :lolflag:

I think it's about that up here, so I'd expect it to be a bit more than that in London now.

Poll: Re: Ford cars are good isn't it?

I don't generally care either way about Ford.

That said the old Escorts seem to be indistructable, you see ancient ones everywhere.

On the other hand, most people I know hate what the did to...
