    I have the same problem. I think it happend after I uninstalled OpenOffice.org from repo and installed new 3.2 from .deb.

    Is there any fix to make shut-down dialog screen come back? It gets on my nerves that I have to type a command in the terminal each time I want to shut-down or restart my Ubuntu... :(

    I've uninstalled everything compiz-related and installed again using this how-to: http://wiki.compiz.net/index.php/Aiglx/compiz_on_an_Intel_i915_video_card

    It's working fine now. :)

    I got it working with no problems... but it's sooo much slower than my compiz-vanilla aiglx... :(

    AMD said that they don't intend to open their graphics drivers, as the performance of their proprietary ATi drivers is apparently as best as it can get... -_-

    I have the same problem. Only the first ntfs partition is visible now, even only one desktop shortcut is left :(. To access the second ntfs partition I have to browse to /media/hda5/...

    You can download and install these files using sreps from this HOW-TO: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=218577 (that's what I've done). Just downloading and installing - the rest of the steps...
